PLACES TO VISIT
Woonton is surrounded by villages on the Black and White Trail. Eardisley, Pembridge, Weobley, Dilwyn, Eardisland and Kingsland are filled with Black and White timber framed houses and buildings. It is almost akin to stepping back into a bygone age. Hereford Cathedral is home to the famous Mappa Mundi and Hereford is a pleasant city to visit with its park and riverside walks.
The famous town of Books, 'Hay-on-Wye' is close by, nestling within easy reach of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Near by at Kington is the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre, one of the largest collections in Europe. Or go to Rhayader, to witness the feeding of the Red Kites ! |
